I am not going to give specifics as we are just in the preliminary stages, but The Foundation is in the process of adding more events in the Cynthiana area. We already have the two tours on the books for June and July (with the luminary lightings at Battle Grove Cemetery after), plans are in place for the second annual Founder's Ball, and after a meeting today with the Cynthiana Harrison County Museum folks we hope to be able to add the first of several events that should appeal to anyone with an interest in the Civil War. The icon to the left should give you a bit of a hint, but for now, that is all the hint you are going to receive!
Speaking of the tours and luminary events, June 10th, the first tour date (which will cover the 1864 battle) is rapidly approaching and you still have time to attend (the tour is free) and sponsor a luminary at the monument circle in Battle Grove. We want to have a luminary at each of the forty-eight stones, and sponsoring a soldier is only $10.00. We will have a musket firing as well. This is a great way to share in an memorable event and help light up Battle Grove! Go to the shop to sponsor a luminary today!
The next meeting of the board will be June 4th and after that meeting we hope to be able to provide more details as to upcoming events and projects!
